WOW PET ANGELS

Zesty Zorro Jr. Norder

Zorro was 5 months old when we got him.

While he was a little camera shy, he had a zest for life and was full of energy and a great companion to our senior Dobey, Nina.

Zorro always wanted to touch me. Walking beside me he would put his nose up against my hand.

Lying on the floor beside me he would put is head on my legs and look at me as if he only had eyes for me. It would almost mesmerize me.

While Nina was my “Soul” Sister, Zorro quickly became my best buddy. He and I closely bonded and loved each other so much.

It is AMAZING how each of these dogs quickly planted themselves into my heart and made me feel so loved. Unfortunately, Zorro was only part of our lies for a short time.

Zorro only got to be with us for 2 years. He started developing seizures after his first year. Despite ours and our vets’ efforts to diagnose him, medication and diet changes, they kept getting worse.

After his last cluster which consisted of 4 serious seizures in 24 hours, he did not even recognize us anymore.

We knew we could not let this continue and had to make the horrific decision to let him go. It was devastating.

In Zorro’s short time on earth, I learned that love and life are not measured in time, but in depth.

Even though Zorro was only with us for 2 years, we loved each other on a soul level.

I still miss him tremendously, but a wonderful session with Maybeth Haines in which she passed on a message from Zorro to me, started the healing process and brought me peace.

I now trust that he knows how hard it was to let him go. I am so grateful for our short time together and that he is now and forever free of pain.
